Depop Fees in 2026: What "No Selling Fee" Really Means
Depop dropped its selling fee for US sellers, which makes it one of the cheapest places to sell clothes. It isn't free, though. There's a processing fee on every sale, and boosting a listing costs a lot more than people expect.
The short answer
If you sell on Depop from the US, you pay:
- No Depop selling fee,
- 3.3% + $0.45 payment processing on the item price plus shipping plus any sales tax, and
- 12% extra if the sale came from a boosted listing.
On a $40 jacket with no boost, that's $1.77 in fees, so you keep $38.23. Boost the same jacket and the fees jump to $6.57.

Payment processing: the fee you can't avoid
Every sale through the Buy button goes through Depop Payments, and that costs 3.3% + $0.45. It's charged on the whole amount the buyer pays: item, shipping and tax.
The fixed $0.45 is the part to think about. On a $10 top it's 4.5% of the price on its own. Total fees on that $10 sale come to $0.78, which is 7.8% of the price. On a $100 item the same fee structure works out to 3.8%.
Bundles help here. Depop charges processing once per bundle transaction, not once per item. Selling three $10 tops as one bundle means you pay the $0.45 once instead of three times.
Boosting: worth it sometimes, expensive always
Boosted listings get pushed higher in search. If a boosted listing sells, you pay a boosting fee of 12% on top of processing. That's the rate for new boosted listings in the US and UK from 23 March 2026.
What it's charged on:
- the item price (not tax), and
- the shipping cost too, if you didn't use a Depop shipping label.
So boosting adds roughly 12% to your costs. On a $40 item that's an extra $4.80. Boosting makes sense for items that would otherwise sit for weeks. For things that sell quickly anyway, it's money you didn't need to spend.
Shipping on Depop
You can use a Depop shipping label or ship it yourself. Either way, remember that processing is charged on the shipping amount the buyer pays.
If you use a Depop label, the buyer's shipping pays for that label, so it doesn't add to your profit. Example: a $25 top with $6 shipping on a Depop label. You pay $1.47 in processing and keep $23.53 after the label.
What if the sale gets refunded?
For sales through Depop Payments, all the fees are reversed automatically: processing, and boosting if it applied. You don't lose the fee on a refunded order.
Selling from outside the US, UK or Australia?
Different rules apply. Sellers outside those three countries pay a 10% selling fee plus PayPal's processing fee, and boosting is 8%. This page and our calculator focus on US sellers.

Quick FAQ
Does Depop really have no seller fees?
No selling fee for US, UK and Australian sellers. You still pay payment processing on every sale, and boosting if you use it.
Where do I see my Depop fees?
In the app: My Depop, then My Account, then Depop Balance. Scroll to Latest Transactions.
Is it worth boosting on Depop?
Only if the item isn't selling on its own. You pay 12% only when a boosted listing sells, so test it on slow movers first.
