Poshmark Fees in 2026: Simple, But Not Cheap
Poshmark has the simplest fee structure of the big resale apps. It also has one of the highest. Here's exactly what you pay, what the buyer pays, and a small pricing quirk around $15 that most sellers never notice.
The short answer
Poshmark charges one commission when your item sells:
- Sales under $15: a flat $2.95.
- Sales of $15 or more: 20%, and you keep 80%.
A $50 dress pays $10.00 and you keep $40.00. A $12 accessory pays the flat $2.95, so you keep $9.05.

Who pays for shipping?
The buyer does. Poshmark charges buyers a flat $6.49 for shipping, and you get a prepaid USPS Ground Advantage label. That's why shipping doesn't change what you earn on Poshmark.
Two catches:
- The flat rate covers packages up to 5 lbs. If a package (or a bundle) goes over, the extra shipping cost is on you, the seller.
- Bundles from one closet ship for a single $6.49, as long as the total stays under 5 lbs.
The $15 pricing trap
Here's the quirk. Below $15 you pay $2.95. At $15 you pay 20%, which is $3.00. So:
| Sale price | Poshmark fee | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| $14.00 | $2.95 | $11.05 |
| $14.99 | $2.95 | $12.04 |
| $15.00 | $3.00 | $12.00 |
| $16.00 | $3.20 | $12.80 |
A sale at $14.99 actually puts more in your pocket than a sale at $15.00. Any final price from $15.00 to $15.04 earns you less than $14.99 would. It's only cents, but if you accept a lot of offers around that point, counter at $14.99 or at $16 and up.
Why the flat fee hurts cheap items
On a $5 item the $2.95 flat fee is 59% of the price. On a $10 item it's 29.5%. That's why a lot of Poshmark sellers bundle low-priced items or don't list them on Poshmark at all.
If most of what you sell is under $15, compare the same sale on Depop or Mercari before you list. A $10 sale costs $0.78 on Depop and $1.00 on Mercari, against $2.95 on Poshmark (shipping not included).
Offers and discounts
The fee is based on the final sale price, not your listing price. If you list at $40 and accept a $30 offer, your fee is 20% of $30, which is $6.00.
Selling from Texas?
Since 1 October 2025, Poshmark deducts an additional Texas Seller Fee Tax from the earnings of sellers located in Texas. Our calculator doesn't include it, so Texas sellers will see slightly less than our figures.
Is 20% too much?
It depends on what you sell. Poshmark's fee is high, but it's one number, shipping is handled with a prepaid label, and there's nothing else to work out. If your style of clothing sells well on Poshmark, the higher fee can still be worth paying. For cheap items or anything you can sell elsewhere easily, the side-by-side comparison usually shows a cheaper option.
